WMAT Governance Event

Supporting WMAT’s commitment to a relentless focus on delivering an excellent Quality of Education.

Members, Trustees and School Board Governors from across West Midlands Academy Trust (WMAT) came together on Wednesday 12th February for the first Academy Governance Event.

The event, attended by governance representatives from Hall Green, Kings Norton Girls’ and Swanshurst Schools, provided a valuable opportunity for networking and collaboration, reinforcing the Trust’s core vision of “Achieving more together.”

Led by Professor Philip Thickett, Chair of Trustees, the event focused on key Trust and school priorities, as well as supporting WMAT’s commitment to a relentless focus on delivering an excellent Quality of Education and continuous school improvement.

Key discussions also built upon the work of WMAT’s first Student Leadership Event, incorporating student perspectives into shaping the Trust’s core values. Through aligning governance strategies with student voice, WMAT continues to ensure the voice of all key stakeholders play a fundamental role in the Trust.

This event is the first of many designed to strengthen collaboration between the governance bodies across WMAT and the executive leadership team led by Nicola Raggett, Chief Executive Officer.
