West Midlands Academy Trust (WMAT) has successfully secured £881,000 through the Department for Education’s Condition Improvement Fund (CIF) to support essential building improvements across all three of its schools.

This is a highly competitive fund, with 1,706 applications submitted nationally. In Birmingham, only 12 schools were successful, including just four secondary schools, three of which are part of WMAT.
Clare Skinner, Chief Finance and Operations Officer, said:
“We are really pleased to have secured this investment across all three WMAT schools. This funding will allow us to address key building priorities and ensure our environments remain safe, well-maintained and fit for learning. It is a testament to the hard work of colleagues involved in developing the bids, and we now look forward to delivering these improvements for our students and staff.”
